I had been looking forward to this event for a long time and especially as I knew a couple of the girls that were going to be there. However I had no idea what to wear! From twitter it seemed like most of the girls were going to be a little glam and dressed up, that only thing I knew for sure was that I wanted to wear my new Melody Sweetpea necklace!
I decided on a neutral coloured dress and shoes and to set it off with statement jewellery and makeup.

Of course I joined the ranks and took the obligatory train selfie!
I set off to London to meet up with Ella from helloellaxo (winner of the Best Personal Style Blog at the Company awards!). There was a quick last minute change with the venue (long story short it was at the same bar but in a different location) so Ella and I agreed to meet at Oxford Circus. Once we had found each other (not an easy task at Oxford Circus on a Saturday lunch time with Pride happening!) we made out way to Dirty Martini.
Once we were checked off the guest list we headed down the stairs into the bar. We were a little early, which was great as we had a chance to speak to Scarlett (the fabulous host!) and to get a drink before the bar got busy!
I went with a Lychee Martini and Ella chose a Blood Orange and Vanilla Martini. With our drinks in hand we mingled with the other bloggers and exchanged business cards, promising to follow, tweet and email each other ASAP.
It was lovely to see some familiar faces and great to meet some new ones too. I met the lovely Sophia of Tattooed Tea Lady, especially as I had been one of her June advertisers. I met many more lovely bloggers and have found some new gems to read!
After the event I left Ella and headed back to Waterloo. I needed something to eat so of course popped into Yo!Sushi to fill up. After that I had some time to kill as my train was delayed (surprise, surprise!) so I browsed my way through the new mezzanine floor shops at Waterloo. I chanced across a gorgeous pair of earrings in Oliver Bonas for only £9 and thought I treat myself (such an easy decision to make when you’re two Martinis down!).
I just would like to say a big thank you to Scarlett for organising such a great event, it must have taken quite some planning and you should be very proud that you pulled off such a fantastic afternoon, so thank you!
