REN Moroccan Rose Otto Body Cream

Back in June I picked up a copy of Harper’s Bazaar. I’m not a regular reader of HB but I did this for two reasons, one – Carey Mulligan looking like an absolute angel on the front cover, and two – the free gift of REN’s Moroccan Rose Otto Body Cream.

Harper's Bazaar magazine

I’ve been a fan of REN products for a while now but had never tried one of their body moisturisers. Seeing as this one was free with the magazine I thought it would be a perfect way to give it a try.

And boy am I glad I did!

The first thing I noticed about this was the smell. Usually rose scented products are too sweet and cloying and quite frankly remind me of old ladies. But this is oh so different! This body cream smells as though you’ve scrunched up a handful of rose petals and spread them over your skin. What I love about this is it actually smells like roses and the fragrance is clean, light and lingering without being overpowering.

The texture of this cream is also a big plus. It’s very light and feels more like a lotion than a cream. It absorbs into the skin quickly and without too much encouragement, leaving my skin feeling hydrated and soft.

This has been living in my handbag since June and I take it everywhere with me. It’s always when I’m out about to go somewhere that I find little patches of dry skin on my knees or my elbows and I know I can apply this quickly and I don’t have to wait ages for it to sink in.

Sadly I’m coming to the end of this tube now and I honestly don’t know what I’ll do without it in my handbag, but I do know that I will be purchasing it as soon as this tube comes to an end!

NB. On the REN website this is called body lotion, but as confirmed by the REN twitter account it is the same product! You can purchase it here or here for £26.00.
