Soap & Glory Fabulipsticks

At the Company Style Blogger Awards, we were lucky enough to be given some pretty epic goodie bags. Amongst all the goodies I discovered these Soap & Glory Fabulipsticks*

Now I’m going to show my beauty blogger ignorance here and say I knew Soap & Glory did cosmetics and I actually have their Lip Plumper but I didn’t know they’d branched out to lipsticks! Bath bits and shower goodies yes, but lipsticks? Nope, nada, no idea.

The first thing I noticed about these, is the packaging. It’s typically Soap & Glory and a little bit tongue in cheek. The second thing was that to me they smell like chocolate, and that’s never a bad thing! I was lucky enough to receive two of these gorgeous lipsticks in my goodie bag, one in Pom Pom and the other in Super Nude, so I was happy to I got to try out two of the three colours these Fabulipstick come in.

These are from the ‘Powdercoat’ range and give a matte but velvety finish. On me Super Nude is a ‘My Lips But Better’ kind of pinky nude colour. It’s subtle but gives me enough colour so that I don’t look washed out. Pom Pom is a vibrant pink/red on me. It’s colourful enough to be punchy but without shouting ‘LOOK AT MY LIPS!’ – a look I need to be in the mood to pull off. I would be perfectly happy to wear Pom Pom to work without feeling conscious of looking too much like a parrot!

I love the texture of these. Despite being matte they still feel hydrating, something I need in a lipstick as my lips tend to dry out rather quickly once I’ve applied it.

These retail at £9 and come in Super Nude, Pom Pom, Blush Pink (and I think I may have to add the Blush Pink to my collection sometime soon!)
