1. So the weekend began on Friday night when I went to Oxford to meet up with V. We went to the new Conscious – Unconscious exhibition at Modern Art Oxford. It wasn’t exaclty my cup of tea, but it was good to see something new and we were treated to a glass of prosecco or two!
2-5. The obligitory visit to Yo!Sushi.
6 & 7. On Saturday I whisked V out of work and we went to Chiang Mai Kitchen for lunch. I went for duck in sweet & sour whilst V went for a pork dish.
8. Dinner was at Living Room Oxford. It was a little disappointing, which is out of character for them, but we put it down to a busy night.
9-11. V had been invited to the opening of a new bar in Oxford, The Mad Hatter, so I tagged along with some of V’s friends. It was really fun, drinks in tea cups, Alice In Wonderland drinks menus, telephones with a direct line to the bar, and a riddle to answer for entry!
12-14. We finally got to see our friend P who I haven’t seen in nearly 2 years! We decided on a pub crawl and started at the famous Turf tavern for a bottle of Rosé.
15-18. Some of the weirdness and beauty of Oxford.
19-22. After lunch at Yo!Sushi (again of course) we wandered over to the Living Room for dessert (we thought we’d give them the benefit the doubt) We ordered a chocolate truffle cake, sticky toffee pudding and a lemon cheesecake between us. I went for the Espresso Martini to wash it all down with!
23. Sunday night, V and I went to a flair competition at Thirst bar, which ran quite late, so of course the night had to end with Domino’s pizza!
I hope you all had a great weekend, what did you get up to?
